My name is Maeve Szwed, and I recently graduated from SUNY Cortland with a degree in Physical Education. During my time at Cortland I have developed strong leadership, communication, and teamwork skills while fostering my passion for creating engaging and meaningful experiences for others. Outside of my professional interests, I enjoy spending time outdoors and staying active, as movement and physical activity continue to play an important role in both my personal and professional life.

A Thank You

I’d like to take a moment to recognize my family. They’ve supported me through every step of my life, and I wouldn’t be where I am today or the person I’ve become without them. Growing up, my parents always emphasized the importance of living a healthy, active lifestyle. Some of my favorite memories are going on hikes together or spending summer days riding bikes. Those moments didn’t just keep me active, they helped build the foundation for the lifestyle I value today. My dad has taught me the importance of patience and has always reminded me that I can solve anything I put my mind to. My mom raised me to be a strong, independent woman, and I truly believe I wouldn’t have the confidence and spark I carry without her. And my brother Liam inspires me every single day. He isn’t afraid of what’s next, he follows his heart, no matter where it leads. That’s something I admire so much, and it’s a mindset I try to carry with me in everything I do.
